Thanks for this thoughtful post, some of the critical questions we need to ask ourselves. I find myself stupefied by big tech's efforts to dominate nature. Reminds me of my neighbor who didn't like his backyard when it rained hard and made the ground cover muddy, so he poured concrete on it. WTF?!!

Lots of aspects raised in this article, just to try to focus : reality! Yes you are right a life and society that is overly sanitised and detached with reality. Because reality hurts! Need always to say what we see, and more importantly and much more difficult!! need to see what we see. « Il faut toujours dire ce que l'on voit : surtout il faut toujours, ce qui est plus difficile, voir ce que l'on voit. » (Ch. Péguy) You are right Minter we (humans) live by delusions, reality brings pain, and finally death. The mortal experience is then transformed and transfigured by imagination, and the new tools of science and technology are very efficient at creating new forms of delusions. I use the word trans for a reason. Thank you
