Being part of a club, community, tribe, party, any type of group... where there is sharing of passion i very up lifting. For instance, let's take for example: padel tennis, or being a dead head is a constant source of joy and energy.

True that! Identifying your 'tribe' and knowing WHY they're important to you (not just acquiescing or joining along), makes the bond so much deeper.

Have long contemplated attending one of these - art, community, dancing, music, & freedom- what's not to love, but haven't yet. Except, a dear friend of my husband had a "burn" for his 80th birthday party. I was impressed by the diversity (age, creed, economic status, race, sexual orientation, etc), and generosity of everyone who came. I actually gave away and also burned a couple of my paintings (long story involving a move to a much smaller space). I enjoyed learning some about this community and our friend's longstanding connection to it.

Burning your art: wow! How did that feel??

Much better than throwing it away. My paintings are expressive - almost like journal entries of my unconscious. Burning them felt cathartic and an appropriate way to release that energy.

Janet, your comment makes me think: Dust to dust, ashes to ashes. Glad it was cathartic!
